We hired DJ Miks (Mikkel) for our daughter's 18th birthday through DJTILBUD and were extremely happy! The whole process was super easy and Mikkel did a really good job, despite a "tough crowd". We had quite a few last minute cancellations, so there were fewer of us than planned, but Mikkel still managed to keep the party going, even though the dance floor was a bit empty at times. That unfortunately happens easily when there aren't that many people. A great performance despite the "tough conditions" we gave him. We will definitely use him again next time we have a party ☺️

We had a birthday party for 50 people, and around 10 pm DJ Konrad arrived with his DJ booth and lights. It was set up quickly, and he had a really good sense of what music it took to fill the dance floor, everything from Kim Larsen to ABBA and Medina. Before the party we had good communication, where he asked about our wishes for music genres. We sent him a list for inspiration, and from there he ran it really well on his own. Strongly recommended

All we need is a power socket. A DJ setup usually takes up 1.5-3 metres, depending on how many guests you are.
Lighting & speakers
From cosy parties for 50 to huge bashes with 2,000 people in party mood, we have the gear for all of it. Our light show and smoke machines can get any party swinging.
Want to keep it simple? No problem. Just write in the comment field that you would like to skip the light show.
Song requests
Of course you can request your favourite songs during the evening.
Sickness guarantee
If bad luck strikes and your DJ falls ill on the day, DJTILBUD will arrange an equally experienced DJ to take over, at no extra cost. With our large network of quality-approved DJs, you can rest assured that the music keeps playing exactly as agreed. In short: your party is covered, even if the original DJ has to cancel.
Cancellation guarantee
You are not committing to anything when you receive your offers. Thanks to our cancellation guarantee, you can cancel your event as long as you have not accepted one of the offers.
100% dance guarantee
We give a 100% dance guarantee when you hire a DJ through us. It does assume that your guests like to dance, though. Our DJs (sadly) cannot force your guests onto the dance floor.
Frequently asked questions about hiring a birthday DJ
Before the event
Does the DJ play differently at an 18th birthday than at a 60th?
Yes. At an 18th birthday, Kesi, Tessa and Harry Styles blast out of the speakers, and »Hip hurra det’ min fødselsdag« is a must. At a 60th birthday, the guests usually come from several generations, so the DJ mixes the birthday host’s Abba and Whitney Houston with music that also gets the 20-year-olds onto the dance floor.
What if I don’t know what music I want for my birthday?
Then the DJ puts together a playlist based on what your guests usually like. If you do know what you want, the DJ plays it, whether it is 80s hits, pop or remixes.
How do I receive the 3 offers?
You can view the 3 offers from DJs on our platform, where you can read more about each DJ, see reviews from happy customers and look at photos and videos of the DJ.
We usually send you the offers within 24 hours. Sometimes it takes up to 48 hours if it is a popular date (especially in May, June, August and December).
We send the offers to you by email.
How do you make sure the DJ suits my party?
We are DJs ourselves, and we have personally screened our 130+ verified DJs. We know a lot about each DJ, including which events they mainly want to play at.
That way we only contact, for example, experienced wedding DJs if you are holding a wedding, and we send you 3 offers from DJs who know how to get the guests onto the dance floor at your type of party.
When will I be contacted?
Once you have looked at the 3 offers, you can choose to be contacted by the DJ.
The DJ then arranges a time with you, so you can talk.
Only after you have talked, and the DJ has confirmed this to us, do we send an invoice for 50% of the amount.
We want to make sure you feel confident in your choice of DJ by having spoken to them first.
What happens if the DJ falls ill?
If your DJ should fall ill on the day (it has not happened yet), we find an equally skilled DJ for your event, of course at no extra cost.
We have a network of experienced, party-loving DJs all over Denmark, so we can always find a replacement. It is part of our DJTILBUD Guarantee.
What if I change my mind about my booking?
No problem! Until you have paid the first invoice of 50% (which we only send once you have spoken to the DJ), you are free to cancel your booking.
Once you have paid, you can no longer cancel, as the DJ reserves the date for you.
When do I pay?
We split the payment into two instalments:
50% is paid once you have spoken to the DJ and are sure you want to book. The remaining 50% is paid before the event, no later than 8 days before.
If there are fewer than 8 days between the booking date and the event, the full amount is due as soon as you have spoken to the DJ and confirmed your booking.
During the event
When does the DJ arrive?
The DJ arrives in good time to set up the equipment for your event, unless you have agreed that the DJ should come earlier.
As a rule, the DJ arrives 45 minutes before your start time and sets up the equipment.
You can agree on exactly the solution that suits your event when the DJ contacts you after you have booked.
When is the equipment set up?
As a rule, the DJ sets up the equipment 45 minutes before the event starts. We are very flexible about this, though, and also offer early setup.
Early setup costs extra. In return, the DJ does not have to set up in the middle of dessert, and you can use the speakers for dinner music.
How much space does the DJ need?
As a rule, the DJ needs at least 3×3 metres for the booth, speakers, lights and cables (typically for up to 60 to 70 guests, depending on the venue).
We have had some fun and creative setups where we could easily squeeze it into less space, if the room is smaller.
And the more guests, the more space the DJ needs.
Can we buy extra hours on the night?
Yes! You can always buy extra hours on the night. Sometimes the party is in full swing and everyone is on the dance floor, so we offer the option to extend the DJ.
The price per extra hour depends on which DJ is playing.
Just tell the DJ 10 minutes before they are due to stop that you would like to extend.
Can we request songs on the night?
You are welcome to request songs on the night. Most of our customers choose the option where the DJ reserves the right to turn down certain requests.
At many parties there are one or two people with very specific song requests that only they enjoy. That is rarely good for the rest of the crowd.
But if the songs fit in, you can always request them, and the DJ will do their best to mix them in.
